If you’re an
American over the age of 16, chances are you’ve heard of or maybe even visited
one of many popular online-dating sites like Match.com, eHarmony, OKCupid or
Tinder. Dating habits have drastically changed in the 20 years since one of the
first online dating sites, Match.com, launched to the public. An industry once
plagued by bad stigma and skepticism has now grown in both popularity and
acceptance in today’s society. Today, America’s booming online-dating industry
is estimated at about $2.2 billion and is expected to grown by another $100 million
every year through 2019. Although dating apps are becoming increasingly
popular, many people seem to agree that they would still prefer to meet someone
the old fashioned way.

Construction Chaos Post
Businesses in close proximity to the intersection of Northwestern Highway, Orchard Lake Road and 14 Mile Roads are feeling some pressure. The construction of a new $40 million roundabout in the area has taken its toll on many of the restaurants and stores in the area. With sales down, some stores have been forced to close their doors or let go of some of their employees. While businesses are being hit hard, residents of the area are also concerned about safety. Officials are confident the roundabout will improve safety and that business as usual will resume once construction is completed in November.

It's 5:45pm on Thursday afternoon and traffic at the intersection of Northwestern Highway, Orchard Lake Road and 14 Mile Roads is starting to backup. Unlike normal rush-hour delays, this backup is due to the construction of a large roundabout at the intersection. Construction has been underway since mid 2014 and is frustrating many local residents and businesses. Businesses in the area have taken a hit and are reporting less than normal sales for the summer months. Concerns over safety have also got many residents worried about driving in the area. Officials are confident the roundabout will improve safety and that business will go back to normal once construction is finished in November.

Debbie Cooks? Post
Debbie is so excited that her kids enjoyed the chicken piccata she made for them. She has made it a couple of times before, and it always turns out great. Debbie isn't usually a big fan of cooking, but she has the urge to make something up for her family tonight. She is so glad she did! It's rare when her kids come into the kitchen excited about something they smell her cooking. When dinner is finished, she is relieved when her kids tell her how full they are. She appreciates when they begin to clear the table while she sits at the table, contemplating the next dish she will cook.

It's 5:45pm and Debbie's kids were not expecting a home cooked meal when they came home from work Tuesday evening. Debbie rarely cooks and prefers to go out to eat with her family. On rare occasions, she cooks the one meal she knows will always come out tasting amazing, chicken piccata. She discovered the recipe online years ago and whips it up for her family on occasion. Her kids are supper excited when they walk in the house and smell something delicious and familiar. Her kids are giddy with excitement over a home cooked meal and devour it within minutes.
